Hi, I’m Mandy, the founder of Grand Explorer Travel Agency. Before becoming a travel advisor, I was an elementary and middle school teacher. Today, I’m a mom of three and have loved traveling for as long as I can remember.
As a child, I dreamed of seeing the world. Over the years, that love of travel grew into something more—I discovered that I enjoyed planning trips almost as much as taking them.
Researching destinations, comparing options, organizing transportation, and figuring out how everything fits together are things I genuinely enjoy. My years as a teacher also taught me to research carefully, stay organized, and pay attention to the details.
Today, I get to combine my love of travel, organization, and helping others in a career I truly love.
Over the years, I heard friends and family say the same thing again and again:
“Planning a vacation feels like a second job.”
Some even put off traveling because the planning felt too overwhelming. That always stood out to me because planning was the part I enjoyed.
Travel gives us a chance to step away from everyday life, experience new places, and make memories together. I became a travel advisor so I could do something I genuinely love—helping other families create more of those moments.
I fell in love with Europe because every destination tells a story. From centuries-old castles and charming villages to iconic landmarks and incredible food, there is always something new to experience.
As a former teacher, I especially love visiting places I once read about or covered in the classroom. Walking through historic cities and seeing that history firsthand is something I never get tired of.
Europe became my specialty because I enjoy taking all the pieces of a multi-city vacation and creating a trip that feels organized and easy to follow. While Europe is my specialty, I also plan cruises, all-inclusive vacations, and trips to destinations around the world.
Rome, Italy
St. George's, Grenada
Guanacaste, Costa Rica
Killarney, Ireland
Langjokull, Iceland
Some of my favorite moments as a travel advisor happen after my clients return home—when I hear their stories, see their photos, and learn about the experiences they loved most.
As a mom, I know how valuable vacation time is. That's why I approach each trip with care and take the time to understand what matters most to the people I'm planning for. I want every family to come home feeling that their time away was truly well spent.
Whether Europe is calling, you're dreaming about a cruise, or you have another destination in mind, I'd love to help bring your trip together.
